The Lotus Tower – South Asia’s tallest tower standing at 350 metres in Colombo is ready to be opened today
President Maithripala Sirisena will declare open the tower with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa attending the event.
The tower comprises a telecommunications museum, hotel, restaurants, auditorium and observation deck.
Above US$ S100 million has been spent on the construction of the tower. The tower also will be the 11th tallest completed tower in Asia and will be the 19th tallest tower in the world
